Terms of Use
Operator and agreement
These Terms govern your use of InTheKnow, operated by Phoebe Goldthwaite. Contact intheknowpcwn@outlook.com. By creating an account and accepting these Terms, you agree to follow them. The Privacy Policy describes how information is handled.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old. Provide accurate information, use an email address you control and keep your credentials secure. Student signup requires an email ending in .edu; alumni may use another email. Email confirmation does not verify age, student or alumni status, university affiliation, employment or professional credentials. Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
Purpose and member interactions
InTheKnow helps members connect and exchange information. Members decide whether to reply or accept a call. The service does not promise introductions, responses, employment or recruiting outcomes. Member statements are their own; verify important information independently. University references describe the intended community and do not establish university endorsement.
Conduct
Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, defraud or impersonate others; post unlawful or sexually exploitative material; share another person’s sensitive information without permission; infringe intellectual-property rights; send spam; scrape profiles; or bypass access controls, credit rules or account restrictions. Use reporting and blocking controls when needed. Do not use the app for emergencies.
Your content
You retain your rights in content you submit. You authorize the operator and service providers to host, process and display it as needed to deliver the features you use, subject to the Privacy Policy and access rules. Submit only content you have the right to share. Other members may save information made available to them; removal from the app cannot erase their independent copies.
Credits
Alumni messaging does not use credits. Students currently receive 12 free credits per UTC calendar month without rollover. Starting a new student-to-alumni conversation normally uses one credit. Follow-ups, existing conversations and eligible shared-profile introductions do not use another credit. Credit purchases are not enabled in this version. Future paid offerings will disclose prices and applicable purchase terms before checkout. Credits are for in-app use, are not cash and are not transferable.
Calls and notifications
A proposed call time is not confirmed until accepted. An accepted call stays at its confirmed time until a reschedule is accepted or the call is cancelled. Notifications and reminders may be delayed or unavailable; check your conversation and calendar. Keep your own record of important appointments.
Moderation and support
You may report or block members and contact Help & Support or intheknowpcwn@outlook.com. We may restrict access or suspend an account to address violations, abuse or security concerns. You can ask for review through support, including from the suspension screen. Moderation is not a guarantee that every harmful interaction will be prevented.
Ending use and deletion
You can stop using the service or delete your account through its profile menu. Deletion removes associated conversations and calls for both participants and cannot be undone through the app. Copies downloaded by others are outside this deletion process. See the Privacy Policy for further details.
Availability and rights
The service may change or experience outages. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or the accuracy of member content. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. If distributed through the App Store, applicable Apple platform license and purchase terms also apply.
Changes and contact
We may revise these Terms as features change. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate in-app or email notice when required. This version is dated 2026-09-17. Questions: intheknowpcwn@outlook.com.
